The new book of the poet, publicist and local historian Alexander Potapov is devoted to the life and work of the outstanding Russian writer, Nobel Prize laureate Ivan Alekseevich Bunin.
In the work on the book, the author used the diaries and letters of I. A. Bunin, numerous publications about the writer, rare documents, the memories of his relatives and friends, contemporaries of the wonderful master of the word, as well as Bunin poems, including early and little -known.
A. N. Potapov leads a fascinating story about the childhood and youth of Ivan Bunin in the Oryol regions, about his formation as a poet and prose writer. A significant place in the narrative is occupied by the images of women who met on his life path and influenced his fate and work.
Unlike many researchers who have devoted their work to the writer"s prose, the author pays close attention to Bunin"s poetry.
The book also tells about the moral tragedy of Bunin-emigrant, forced to leave his homeland, about his comprehensive love for Russia, Russian nature, women, love, which throughout the life of the writer played the role of the driving power of his literary creativity.
