The book of "5 "iconic actors and directors of world cinema. From Woody Allen to Charlie Chaplin " - the final part of the trilogy, begun by the publications of "50 cult Soviet films" and "100 cult foreign films". But if cinematic works were dismantled in the first two parts, here I talk about their creators - directors and actors.
The book presents the film portraits of a number of domestic and foreign directors and actors of the 20th century and the present.
recognized geniuses of directing (Bergman, Fellini, Tarkovsky) are adjacent to the idols known only to Russian-speaking viewers (Leonov, Tikhonov, Mironov), Populists (Spielberg, Menshov) get along with bright representatives of the Kino not for All "(Muratova, Lynch).
At the same time, I am again not at all claiming for objectivity and all -leature and I ask you to consider this book just as an author"s collection of literary portraits of the most famous filmmakers from various times and countries (first of all, of course, from the USSR and the USA).
The book tells about thirty directors (some of them were at the same time actors - as Chaplin and Allen) and about twenty, respectively, lying people. All illuminated persons can also be divided into domestic (such again thirty) and foreign (these are twenty back).
The beautiful floor is represented by a brilliant Russian director-female, another Soviet tale director, five excellent domestic actresses-and two foreign ones. Along with the directors of the feature cinema, two animators are also present here.
In general, the presented selection is distinguished by the same motley, which was put at the forefront when writing the two previous books. And let the reader not be angry if he does not find a portrait of his beloved actor/director here. It is impossible to embrace the immense - however, to any task of this kind can be approached selectively, with an element of chance, if you like. Namely, unpredictability is sometimes the key to the value of the resulting result
