The memories of the famous Russian politician and memoirist Vasily Vitalievich Shulgin (1878-1976) "1921", written by him together with his wife and close friend, are an attempt to describe "pieces of life" on the "both shores" of the Black Sea. The first part of the book is devoted to Russian emigration in Constantinople, the second - the illegal trip of Shulgin and his associates to Crimea in September 1921. The third part describes the trip to Soviet Russia by V. A. Lazarevsky, who could not leave Crimea along with Shulgin. In full, the text of 1921 was never published due to the ban on the family of Prince V. A. Obolensky, whose relatives remained in Russia and were directly related to the history described in the book.
"1921" is the final part of the trilogy of V.V. Shulgin, dedicated to the civil war ("1919", "1920", "1921").
The book is intended for both experts and a wide range of readers interested in the history of Russia
