The “Big Orthoepic Dictionary of the Russian Language” is the result of many years of work of the largest specialists in the field of Russian phonetics, doctors of philological sciences Maria Leonidovna Kalenchuk, Leonid Leonidovich Kasatkin and Rosalia Franzovna Kasatkina, who worked on the dictionary for more than fifteen years.
The dictionary represents modern Russian literary pronunciation, fixing the norm and its options. For the first time, a description of pronunciation and stress is proposed more than 80,000 words, including recently appeared. Pronunciations related to each word and its grammatical forms are given. The dictionary records the features of the sounding speech of different generations of the beginning of the 21st century. It is designed for everyone who is associated with the pronunciation side of Russian speech, as well as the widest circles of readers by the generic side of the activity.
