The "big story of fairy tales" is a collection of classic fairy tales in the retelling N. Koncha and M. Melnichenko for children illustrated by a wonderful English artist John Peyshesz.

"If you like tales not less than me, this book will certainly please you. After all, it has a lot of these full wonders of the stories that were invented a long time ago. Just think: some of these fairy tales are almost as ancient as the mountains, and certainly older than trees! They are in them gnomes and giants, evil sorcerers and beautiful princesses and, most importantly - boys and girls, exactly the same as you. They courageously cope with difficulties and, in whatever rework, they will certainly come out winners.
I am with great pleasure drawing illustrations for fairy tales and hope that you will like how I portrayed the heroes. I tried to make them such as necessary that the giant in the fairy tale "cat in boots" was really huge, and Cinderella is a real beauty, which it should be.
