This book continues a series of publications dedicated to the issues of researching two basic functions of criminal procedure - evidence and decision-making. Based on methodological and criminal procedural characteristics, a bifunctional model of pre-trial proceedings is proposed within the framework of two stages of criminal procedure - initiation of criminal case and preliminary investigation. Legislation is provided as of November 11, 2022.
