Between the fountain and the sink

In the collection “Between the Fontanka and the Moika ... ", one of the most St. Petersburg poets - Alexander Kushner - included poems written both in the 60s of the twentieth century and recently. In his poetry, his hometown appears not only as a beloved and the only one, “where you can live in grief”, it is also a crossroads of world cultures, a mysterious place where "buckle, carpovka, Smolenka, Styx, cocious and aherone ”intersect.
The poetry of Alexander Kushner is deeply connected with the visual arts, which is reflected in the "Hermitage" sections of the collection and in the artistic design of the book.
