With its bactericidal and anti-inflammatory properties, bergamot oil helps with herpes, dries and eliminates skin rashes. Regular use of bergamot essential oil prevents the appearance of acne and pimples. It is an effective remedy for hair: gives natural shine, pleasant aroma, helps to get rid of dandruff, strengthens and gives vitality.
Body effects: indispensable antiseptic for inflammations. Promotes faster tanning. Therefore, bergamot oil is added to tanning creams.
Mind effects: used to relieve anxiety, depression, and nervous tension. The oil cools down passion and clarifies the mind, reduces irritation, and eliminates feelings of depression and hopelessness. This is due to the reduction of sympathetic nervous system activity.
Household use: used as a repellent to repel insects. Helps to get rid of tobacco and smoke odors.
Application methods
Aromalamp: pour 2-6 tablespoons of warm water into the upper cup of the aromalamp, add 3-15 drops of pure or mixed essential oils (on average, 1-2 drops per 3m² of room area), then place a lit candle in the lower cup. Be sure to use only alcohol-paraffin candles in a metal container. The duration of the session is 0.5-1.5 hours, 1-2 times a day, for up to 3 weeks. Aromatherapy is most effective for correcting psychoemotional state and overall tone.
General aromatic bath: add 3-7 drops of essential oil to 0.5 liters of warm water, dissolve in 1-2 tablespoons of emulsifier (sea or table salt, cream, whey, or 1 tablespoon of honey, bath foam, soda, bran), add this mixture to the water in the bath. The procedure time is from 5 to 20 minutes. When adding to preventive procedures, do it 1-2 times a week.
Facial steam baths: pour 0.5-1 liter of hot water (80-90 °C) into a wide bowl, add 2-3 drops of essential oil, lean over the steam, cover your head with a towel (be sure to close your eyes) and calmly, without tension, inhale the aroma for 7-10 minutes.
Masks: add 1-2 drops of essential oil to 1 tablespoon of base (cosmetic oil, egg yolk, kefir, yogurt, buttermilk, or honey). Apply the resulting mixture evenly on the skin, wash off with warm water after 3-5 minutes, acidified with lemon juice.
Washing: add 2-4 drops of essential oil to 500 ml of warm water, diluted with 1/3 teaspoon of emulsifier (salt, honey, whey). Rinse the face (close your eyes!), pat dry with a towel.
Hair care: add 3-5 drops of essential oil to 1 tablespoon of base vegetable oil, rub this mixture into the scalp or distribute it along the entire length of the hair, wrap the hair with a towel and leave it for 1-1.5 hours, then rinse with shampoo.
Massage, anti-cellulite rubbing: mix 3-5 drops of essential oil with 10-15 ml of base vegetable oil. Rub into problem areas of the skin for 5-10 minutes, then rinse with warm water.
Aromatic water for baths and saunas: add 5-10 drops of essential oil to 1-2 tablespoons of emulsifier (honey, sea salt, whey, cream), dissolve in 500 ml of water. In baths, use 1-1.5 liters of aromatic water, which is poured onto wooden shelves, moistens steamed brooms, and pour a small amount onto the stove in the steam room. In saunas, use 200-300 ml of aromatic water, which is placed in a bucket with a wide neck on the stove in the steam room, and 3-5 minutes before leaving, you can splash 1-2 tablespoons onto the stove, sprinkle wooden shelves and walls. The procedure time is 3-20 minutes (gradually increase), no more than 1-2 times a week.
Cosmetic enrichment: creams, masks, balms, lotions, shampoos are enriched with essential oils. Creams are enriched with 15-20 drops of essential oil per 50 ml of neutral cream (referring to cream with a neutral pH balance, for example, baby cream). Shampoos are enriched with essential oils at a rate of 10-15 drops of oil per 100 ml of neutral shampoo (for example, baby shampoo). Adding oils to hair masks and balms, face masks gives a good effect (1-2 drops of essential oil is enough, avoid contact with eyes!).
