Was Belarusian & QUOT, the partisan Republic & quot, or was it the territory where the civil war was having? In his monograph, the doctor of historical sciences O.V.ROMANKO tried to answer this question by analyzing the problems of the history of the Belarusian military collaborationism during the Second World War. Based on extensive documentary material from the archives of Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Germany and Poland, the author considered the military cooperation of Soviet citizens with Nazi Germany, allocated its characteristic features, identified the causes and conditions that contributed to the creation of Belarusian collaborational formations. For the first time in domestic historiography, the Belarusian National Movement and its role in the cooperation of the local population with the German military-political leadership was studied. A special place in the book is the analysis of the characteristics of the organization, combat training and the use of Belarusian divisions of the Wehrmacht, Police and the SS troops. Finally, the author showed what contribution, in quantitative and qualitatively, Belarusian collaborators contributed to the military efforts of Nazi Germany
