The collection "before movement" consists of two parts. The texts of the first part are notes, observations and reasoning made by the author from trips to the Urals, Central Russia, Europe, the Baltic states, the Caucasus, America, Israel. The gaze of a young traveler jumps from an object to an object, from an event to an event, he is equally attentive to everything - both to the great and the little things: a summer storm on the resort Adriatic and the winter - in the deserted Baltic, museum meetings of the masters of the Renaissance and public laundry in the emigrant areas In the Wild West, religious crowds in Jerusalem and tourist - in the Vatican, kindergartens in Tartu and a secret move to the bell tower in Kungur ... Sometimes the author enters into dialogs: with local residents and with the same, strangers, with dogs and birds , with the wind, the sea and the horizon.
The theme of the second part is wider: here the author is already traveling in personal and family memory, discusses about childhood and growing up, about profession and calling, about his generation - people born in the late USSR and who grew up in the 1990s - and his fates . And in the same melancholy -reflexive tonality - about pencils, bicycles, teapots, coffee grinders and other remarkable trifles that turned up at the arm
