“Bees”-Book Picture of a Polish artist-illustrator Peter Sokha, which he created together with the biologist Wojciech Griker (Wojciech Grajkowski) It contains 30 large spreads with illustrations (the size of the book - 275x375 mm), which tells of amazing and interesting insects, whose life has been closely connected with human activity for several millennia. How the bee family and the hive are arranged, how the bees communicate with each other, how honey is useful, how the beekeeper works, which we are generally owed to bees. Each illustration is not just a picture, this is a story with a large number of colorful details, complemented by a small, but very informative text.
But a fascinating story about bees is the only goal of this book. The authors sought to attract readers" attention to the problems of ecology, the significance of bees in ecosystems, and preserving traditional forms of beekeeping.
Peter Sokha (born in 1966) - a book illustrator, designer, multiplier, graduate of the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts and Design. He is one of the most popular modern Polish artists. He collaborates not only with publishers, but also with magazines, newspapers, television. His work was repeatedly awarded.
