The book is devoted to botulinum therapy - a new and promising addition to the correction of aesthetic face defects and neck injections of fillers, chemical peeling, intensive irradiation of the pulse light of fractional laser therapy and other methods of modern aesthetic medicine.
In the first two chapters, the structures and effects of various drugs of botulinum toxin are considered, the importance of the use of licensed drugs is emphasized, given the appearance of many counterfeit products in recent years and complications associated with their use. A description of the correction of aesthetic defects is given according to a certain scheme: clinical value, injection site, choice of injection points and dose, clinical result, risk and warnings.
When describing the correction methods in each case, detailed anatomy is given, which helps to clarify whether additional intervention needs to remove adipose tissue, choose the right dose of the drug, determine the optimal depth of its administration, and also avoid an undesirable violation of the balance between the muscles. Separate chapters are devoted to dermal fillers for the contour plastic of the face, complementing the possibilities of using type A botulinum toxin, and a combination of laser grinding and therapy with broadband light with neurotoxin injections.
