A parody of popular novels about the life of the theatrical and near-theatrical elite of the early 20th century. Nikolai Georgievich Shebuyev (1874-1937) was a writer, journalist, poet, and publisher. In 1905-1906, he published the popular satirical magazine "Pulemyot," where he harshly mocked the tsarist government, for which he was arrested and imprisoned. From 1906-1907, he published a newspaper, and from 1908 to 1925, he published magazines. He was also the author of scripts for variety shows and circuses. Our publishing house has released the following works by him: "Berta Bers. In the Nets of Espionage," "The She-Devil. An Extremely Criminal Novel," "Beautiful Elena (Theatrical Passions)," "Godless Moscow," "The Case of His Worker Majesty the Proletarians of All Russia: Memories of the 'Pulemyot' Days," "Days of Freedom," "Accidental Amnesty," "Gaponiada," and other works in quotation marks.
