The Nenets are the indigenous people of the North, they live on the coast of the Arctic Ocean, from the Kola Peninsula to Taimyr. And the whole life of the Nenets is connected with the tundra: they wander along it, here they breed deer, hunt for fur animals and birds arriving here. Here are the heroes of Nenets fairy tales: deer - small horns, owls and partridges, arctic foxes and ermines, a bear and a Tevasi hare. Beasts and birds dress like real residents of the tundra: in the fur fur coats of Malitsa, on the legs - the boots of Pima. And they do not live in minks, but in the usual Plags. All these details of the traditional northern life can be seen in the illustrations of Evgeny Rachev
