A series of books by Athos Hieromonk Gregory, a student of St. Paisius Svyatogorets, introduces the reader to the treasury of patristic literature. About the author of Hieromonk Grigory (in the world of Hadziammanuel Panayotis) was born on the island of Methylene in 1936, graduated from the Theological Faculty at the University of Athens, then studied the patristic theology in Strasbourg. Returning to his homeland, in 1966 he took monastic tonsure, was ordained a deacon, and a month later - to the priest, and went to Athos. In 1968, following the holy elder Paisius and Archimandrite Vasily, Fr. Gregory settled in the monastery of Stavronikit. In 1971 about. Gregory was dedicated to confessors and carries this obedience to this day in Greece and in Germany. Since 1980 about. Gregory lives with his monastic community in the holy Kutluomush cell of St. John the Theologian. Father Gregory is the author of about thirty books of liturgical, pastoral and missionary themes, the most famous is the "Divine Liturgy", repeatedly reprinted in many languages
