“In this work, I tried to tell in a brief form about one of the little -related moments of the historical past of Batumi and the region, which is one of the pages of the history of Georgia. For three hundred years, until the end of the 70s. XIX century, these pages were not written by the king of Georgia, their authors were the Sultans of the Ottoman Empire.
Unfortunately, having limited opportunities for working in archives, I could not fully convey to readers the huge historical material that our land is so rich in. But those documents that are given in the book allow us to reveal the historical reality of those years. For greater objectivity, I sought to give various sources on the same issue. The work gives many links and notes. They help the reader better understand the essence of the question. "
