The last year of the war became agonia for the Third Reich. Realizing the inevitability of punishment for all the crimes committed by them, the creators of Nazi ideology tried to fully delay their end. To solve this problem, "all the means were good": the total mobilization of the male population of the regions was carried out, various samples of "wonder-weapons" were hastily, surrounded by the Red Army of the city were declared fortresses. Similar to "Citadelia" became Breslau - the capital of Silesia. The garrison-chopped German propaganda and the population defended this city for three months - from February 8 to May 6, 1945
