The second part of the trilogy of the historian P.E. Biteikhanov about the Kursk battle includes the study of the Citadel operation at the South Face Kursk Arc. On an extensive documentary, including from the funds of the Central Archives of the Ministry of Defense, showing the course of the summer onset of the German troops to Kursk in the band of the Voronezh Front, analyzed the causes and conditions that determined the outcome of the Citadel operation, an attempt was made to identify patterns that caused the results of the whole Kursk battle
