The book of the famous Russian writer-Marinist Vladimir Shigin is devoted to the fighting of the Mediterranean squadron of Vice Admiral D.N. Senyavina against France in 1805-1806. During several successful operations, Dalmatia was released and Montenegro was protected. Among the heroes of the book Emperor Alexander the Great, Vice Admiral Senyavin, captain-commander Ignatiev, 1st rank captain Lukin, other officers and sailors of the Russian fleet. A large place in the book is occupied by the joint struggle of Russian sailors and Montenegrins against the Napoleonic troops, which showed the whole world the unity of fraternal Orthodox peoples
