Beautiful and sensual thirty-year-old Marie was released from prison after six years of imprisonment for her involvement in a murder and armed robbery. The only job she can find is to become a nanny for the child of her childhood friend Ellen Kendall. Life in Ellen's house, with her husband, the very attractive French writer Benoit Donel, and their daughter Caitlin, proves to be just as complicated and incongruous for the unsettled, impulsive Marie as it was in her youth.
