Back in the USSR

Reprinting the world"s first book about Russian rock, published in the West in 1987 and in the USSR in 1991 and has become classic since then.
"Almost all this book (with the exception of the last chapter and sentimental imagination) was written exactly twenty years ago. Then came out for the first time in the city of London. I always despised the pump around the anniversaries and believed (and now I think) that zeros begin to celebrate when there is nothing more to do ... and with this reprinting the round date turned up inadvertently - just so happened.
Strictly speaking, this book is the essence of the witness-eyewitness testimony, which was there, and something and personally did. It is this, and not attempts to analyze and understanding, is the most valuable and interesting in the text. The new Russian publication "back in the ussr" (I am glad that this name was returned, although it was originally called and at all in the third: "Tell Tchaikovsky The News ...") can be viewed not only and not as much as a historical reference book, how much as a document of a certain era. For the sincerity and the lateness of which I handle.
