The publication represents a characteristic of numerous works of applied art of the late Middle Ages (trellis, embroideries, elegant miniature trifles: caskets, crests, mirrors, letters for writing made of carved bone, metal and wood), as well as mariners and miniatures of secular content. Artistic monuments are considered in the thematic diversity that existed within a private residential interior in the XIV-XV centuries, and where they “came to life”, finding their visual embodiment, heroes of knightly novels, fairy-tale characters and poetic allegories. The interpretation of the plots of the decorative decoration of castles will help the reader better understand the life of the people"s life of the late Middle Ages, their perception of such categories of human existence as love, time, death, a feat, refracted through the prism of aristocratic models of being, and ultimately will look into the magical mirror of their own Ideals that this bright and interesting era looked in. The disk is richly illustrated, intended for a wide range of readers
