Escott Lynn is an English writer of the late XIX - early XX centuries, the author of historical and adventure works. Of these, the most known in Russia is the narrative of the legendary medieval robber. The full name of the book is "Robin Hood and his funny friends". Ballads are composed about Robin Hood, novels are written, performances were staged and films were shot. The main character of these works is little like his real prototypes. On the pages of books, on theatrical stages and movie screens, the leader of the gang of forest robbers is noble and generous: he forces the rich to fork out, and gives the money and values taken away from them. This is the hero Escott Lynn. The author talks so vividly and excitingly about the adventures of Robin Hood that her story will undoubtedly interest both adults and children.
