Outstanding Japanese writer Akutagawa Ryunoske (1892-1927) is a recognized master of a short story traditional for Japan. His short stories are built on the subjects of ancient chronicles, medieval parables and feudal epic, reality and fiction, subtle psychologism and all -pervasive irony are intertwined in them. The publication included the staging of two works of Akutagawa, translated by V. Markova.
The story "Du Zichun" is based on the novel of the Chinese writer Lee Fuyan, whose hero, being on the verge of despair, receives a wise council from the old man who appeared from nowhere ... In the story of Miracles of Magic, the master of magical art of Misra-kun, a fictitious character acts Tanizaki"s novels Junyitiro "Hassan Khan".
