The trilogy "Marriage Balzaminov" is a "picture from Moscow life" about the adventures of a small official who dreams of a rich bride. The funny and ridiculous inner world of the protagonist - in his naive and simple -minded reasoning - the whole life philosophy of "offended by God", deprived of the talents of "small" people. He is almost a folklore Ivanushka-Durachka from a Russian fairy tale. According to a loving mother, God offended him very much, he did not give his abilities "either to service or anything." Balzamines are close to the fulfillment of desires three times, and three times fate laughs at him.
