James Greenwood (1833-1929) - British writer and journalist. He released about forty books, but the same story brought him true glory. Its full name is "real story of a little breakdown" (1866) In the writer"s homeland, she only went out twice. In our country, a "little rabbing" - both in translation and in a retelling adapted for children - withstood about fifty publications and is considered a classic work of children"s literature.
The main character of the story is the little boy Jim. Running away from the beatings from the house, he becomes a wandering. There is a common phrase that poverty is not a vice. But what kind of acts of poverty can a fragile child push? And who is to blame for the misadventures of Jim? The story, in the traditions of "good old England", is a happy ending. But what precedes him will not leave any of the listeners indifferent. This narrative is relevant today.
