History of Military Art (CDPC)

The history of mankind is in many ways the history of wars and conquests, victories and defeats, elevations and the fall of empires. Starting from the period of Greek-Persian wars, the conquests of Julia Caesar, the Crusades until the time of Napoleon and the wars of the late 19th century improved tactical techniques, forms and methods of armed struggle, more and more complex strategies were developed.

In the fundamental work of the famous German historian Hans Delbryuk “The History of Military Art within the framework of political history”, the emergence and development of military strategy and tactics is investigated, the experience of great wars, operations and battles is summarized, and the main directions of development of military art are revealed. The author reproduces a wide historical panorama of military operations, examines in detail the course of fracture battles, evaluates the role of errors and fateful decisions of commanders and political figures. Well -known events appear in all their drama and inconsistency.
