The disk of the publishing house of the Directive offers the reader the most voluminous collection of engravings: more than 5,000 sheets. The publication introduces us to the history of the development of European engraving from the origins from the 15th to the beginning of the 20th century. The basis of the meeting is the most fully engraving heritage of the great masters: Dürer, Callo, Rembrandt, Piranesi, Goya, Daumier, Menzel, Degas, Toulouse-Litrak. The work of other artists (more than 500 authors), displayed in this album, allows you to trace the development of the art of printed graphics and present various areas of its application. In addition to easel engraving, the collection includes samples of book illustrations - from books of the 15th century to the work of Gustav Dorea. Another layer of printed graphics - a folk picture - introduces the works of folk art of Russian, Scandinavian, Spanish masters. The new electronic publication completes the trilogy of the Directia Disks devoted to classical fine art: "5555 masterpieces of world painting", "5000 masterpieces of drawing", "5,000 masterly engraving". This set allows you to fulfill the history of European art from the Middle Ages to the beginning of the 20th century and look into the "Creative Laboratory" of great masters. You can track the preparatory work of the artist on the picture or engraving, variations of the same plot and its embodiment in the figure, engraving or picturesque canvas.
