Mikhail Evgrafovich Saltykov-Shchedrin (real name Saltykov, pseudonym N. Shchedrin, 1826-1889) occupied a rare position in the socio-literary life of Russia: on the one hand, a high rank official (vice-governor in Ryazan and Tver, chairman The state chamber in Penza, Tula and Ryazan), on the other, the most striking, if not a fierce, exposure of vices and disorders of Russian reality. The most famous works of a satirist writer include fairy tales - instructive stories that are useful for both adults and children. The collection compiled a monoplast in these fairy tales.
