In the XVIII century, the Altai tribes, which were part of the Dzungarian Khanate, used the alphabet developed on the basis of Uygursky. In the middle of the 19th century, Russian missionaries created the Altai alphabet based on the Cyrillic alphabet. The Alphabets are still using this alphabet. They recorded the legends and legends of Altai, previously transmitted from generation to generation verbally.
