The Torah (Hebrew. Teaching) - the first five books of the Bible, was and remains unifying the beginning of the Jewish people, the embodiment of its essence, which found its expression in the self -recognition of the Jews "people of the book". As part of the Bible, it became a sacred book not only of Judaism, but also of Christianity and Islam, and has acquired global significance. For the believing of its existence, humanity created an inconspicuous number of laws, but few of them, in terms of longevity and scale of their influence on the moral and legal consciousness and human behavior can be equal to the laws of the Pentateuch, especially ten commandments.
The meeting included: the complete Hebrew text of the Pentateuch and Gaftar (in a fax display), the Russian translation and the classic comment "Sonchino", as well as the books of famous scientists, J. Weinberg and L. Schiffman, telling about history, doctrine and lifestyle ancient Jews, about the emergence of a biblical canon and the design of rabbinistic Judaism. In total, more than 5000 pages of text.
Sisteman requirements: IBM PC 486 and higher, 16 MB RAM, CD-ROM, SVGA, MS Windows.
