Alexander Yakovlevich Golovin (1863 - 1930) is among the brilliant painters of those who worked at the turn of the XIX - XX centuries. He is an unusually peculiar artist whose art is distinguished by a unique original style. Golovin showed himself as a master of portrait, still life and landscape, but he won genuine fame as a theater decorator.
For a long time A. Golovin was the main decorator of St. Petersburg Imperial Theaters, as well as a consultant to the Directorate on Artistic Affairs.
A rare coloristic talent of the artist, musicality and inexhaustible fantasy distinguish him from the general system of contemporary artists. His works seem fabulous, magical, existing outside a specific place and time. Created by A.Ya. Golovin is similar to the real, but it is as if cleaned, generalized and exalted to the stage image.
The publication of more than 200 works of the artist, articles about the facts of biography, genres of painting in which the master worked, and the main stages of his life and creativity.
Designed for a wide range of readers.
System requirements: IBM PC 486 and higher. 16 MB RAM, CD-ROM, SVGA, Windows 95/98/Me/NT/XP/2000
