The first project to digitize the library fund of the State Historical Museum is opened by the magnificently illustrated rare book of the "antiquity of the Russian state", published according to the highest command of the sovereign Emperor Nicholas I in 1846-1853.
"antiquities of the Russian state" include 6 separate notebooks of the text and 508 chromolithographic tables depicting objects of ancient Russian art. The drawings were made by the artist and archaeologist F.G. Solntsev (1801-1892) In his watercolors, with jewelry accuracy, symbols of state power, weapons, the Grand Duke, boyar and royal suit, monuments of architecture, etc. are depicted.
The project is implemented in special software for creating facsimic publications. It allows you to view pages in various modes, as well as search for the text and print individual pages
