"Cherry Garden" is the last play by Anton Pavlovich Chekhov. Play-pollution. This is the final part of the Great Chekhov Tetralogy, in which the breakdown of family and birth relationships and, as a result, the approach of catastrophic events in the state’s scale, is gradually traced. But the "cherry garden", oddly enough, fills us with hope. In conditions when what happens to the heroes is already beyond the scope of ordinary human existence and acquires the scale of the fatum, rock, the inevitable movement of history, which does not leave options for choice, we observe the gradual rapprochement of those very people whose relations that turn into discord, indicated in the "Seagull". It is Chekhov’s last play that gives us the key to understanding that only conscious adherence to his own principles will allow us to escape in the growing storm of history. The heroes of the play retain themselves, and this is their main victory. They are spiritually reviving. And the cherry garden cut for the sake of momentary benefit becomes precious, but necessary, like the ancients, it is precisely for the future uniting of these people. "Cherry Garden" - farewell, but the farewell of enlightened, with a clear prejudice of the final triumph of good, with the affirmation of the infinity of being, is a farewell penetrated equally by the drama and inimitable Chekhov’s humor, marked by an irresistible thirst for life
