Mark Twain (real name Samuel Langhorn Clemens, 1835–1910) is an outstanding American writer, journalist, public figure. Among the genres brilliantly mastered by him are humor, satire, adventure, philosophical fantasy, journalism, and in all these genres he made a humanistic position. The action of the novel "Adventures of Tom Sawyer" (1876) takes place before the events of the Civil War in the United States - in the state of Missouri, in a small river town. Tom is a twelve -year -old broken man, an orphan who, together with his younger brother, is brought up by aunt Polly, the sister of their late mother. The restless volume and his friends are constantly managing to get into different alterations! The author himself believed that he wrote a book for adults, but it became unusually popular among children. And it remains that for nearly one and a half centuries.

Fyodor Stepanov reads-performer, director, holder of the Silver Microphone Awards of the New York Festival of Radio Proceedings in the category "Best Drama Special Project 2010", screenwriter of projects for the TV channels "Russia" and "Culture".
