In the series Electronic Library of the Publishing House Directia a new supplemented and processed version of the collection of works of masters of impressionism was published.
Impressionism for more than a hundred years has remained one of the most famous and beloved by the audience of European painting. The bright, juicy colors of landscapes, and with amazing accuracy recreated scenes of urban life, and portraits retain their charm. On the canvases of the impressionists, Paris of the 19th century arises in front of us: his cafes, theaters, the famous Kabaret Mulen-Rouge and Mulen de la Galett.
The electronic album talks about the history of the development of the direction - from the origins to neo -impressionism and post -impressionism. The disk presents about 2,000 reproductions of picturesque paintings, engravings and drawings of more than 30 artists. These are, first of all, the works of leading masters of impressionism: Claude Monet, Eduar Manet, Auguste Renoir, Fields of Cezanne, Camille Pissarro, Edgar Degas, Alfred Sisleya, etc.
Impressionism gave an impetus to develop several currents of painting of the late XIX - early XX centuries, including neo -impressionism, cubism and symbolism. Therefore, the section “post -impressionism” includes works by painters of various directions that developed the principles of impressionism. Among them are Henri Tuluz-Lotrek, Vincent Van Gogh, Paul Gauguin, Georges Syra, Paul Signac, Henri Russo, Amedeo Modigliani, Eduard Wuyar, Gustav Moro, Odilo Redon and many others
