Arkhip Ivanovich Kuindzhi (1841-1910) is a famous representative of the Russian landscape school of painting. The coloristic techniques found by the artist were a kind of revelation for contemporaries and brought the master a well -deserved success. Kuindzhi sought to poetically transform and fill with mysterious attractiveness depicted landscapes, attaching particular importance to lighting.
An unusually spectacular transmission of sun and lunar light, active color contrasts, the compositional decorativeness of the artist’s paintings broke all available picturesque principles.
The publication includes about 100 works of Kuindzhi, an article on the facts of biography and painting genres, in which the master worked, as well as the main stages of his life and creativity.
The project is intended for art historians and a wide range of readers.
