The book, which tells about the adventures of the baron, was published in England in 1875. Before her, an anonymous publication dedicated to the same historical person went to her hands. Her hero looked like an extremely negative character - a smug Prussian landowner, a spent fanfaron, a limited enjoy. Rasspa turned Munhausen into a cimple, whose name became a household name. Meanwhile, the baron is a very real historical person. Jerome Karl Friedrich Munhausen was born in Germany on May 11, 1720 and lived, despite his incredible adventures, up to 77 years. For several years he served in the Russian army, participating in wars with the Turks. Having resigned, the baron became famous as the narrator of extraordinary stories and even published the book "Guide for the Veselchaki". The lifetime glory of the narrator and inventor brought Munchausen only only sorrows and troubles. Relatives, accusing the baron of disgracing their name, turned away from him. But he remained in literature and in our minds never a discouraged, cheerful person.
