Evgeny Aleksandrovich Yevtushenko (1933) - perhaps the most vivid and, of course, the most readable Russian poet of the 20th century, who became one of the exponents of the minds of his generation and the whole society. His poems are translated into more than 70 languages of the world, and Yevtushenko himself is an honorary member of the American Academy of Arts and a full member of the European Academy of Arts and Sciences. But a talented person is talented in everything. One of the representatives of the famous galaxy of the “sixties", Yevtushenko is not only an outstanding poet, the creator of a new poetic language, but also a prose writer, publicist, translator, director. The novel "Berry Places" (1981) is fascinating and unusual, multi -layered and multi -shaking. This is a novel about Russia and about planet Earth, about humanity and man, about history and modernity. "Where is the world moving?" - This main question is always relevant, and the author’s literary skill simply cannot but surprise the reader. Yevtushenko and in prose remains a great real poet!
