The monograph considers the social phenomenon `attitude to health` - its historical transformation, features of theoretical study, empirical indicators, factors and social institutions affecting its formation. The analysis is given in relation to the two components of this phenomenon - the attitude of the individual’s health and to social health. The dominant value of behavioral factors is shown. The materials of domestic and international comparative studies revealed the sociocultural features of the behavior of Russians in the field of health.
