The universal educational and methodological set on geography for the 5th grade (author - O.V. Krylova) consists of an atlas, outline maps with practical exercises, and a collection of tasks for working with the atlas. Their main goal is to instill an interest in geographical knowledge in students. The content of the set is aimed at students acquiring the basics of knowledge about the Universe and planet Earth, as well as developing their initial cartographic skills: determining the cardinal directions and the relative location of geographical objects, composing elementary geographical descriptions, comparing and classifying. Created according to the original author's methodology in accordance with the "Concept of the Development of Geographic Education in the Russian Federation," the set is characterized by the novelty of content, universality, and a focus on developing the creative element in students. The textbook meets the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standards (FGOS) and has been approved by methodologists. Russia in the atlas is presented with new borders: including the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson Oblasts, the Republic of Crimea, and Sevastopol.
