Atlas of morphological forms of spermatozoa

The atlas was created by a team of authors from the National Medical Research Center of Endocrinology and the V.A. Trapeznikov Institute of Control Sciences of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IPU RAS). It briefly covers some issues in andrology related to spermatogenesis development, sperm analysis, including sperm collection and preparation of stained slides, differential counting of all types of spermatozoa, calculation of their defects to determine fertility, diagnostics, etc. The questions of computerization of sperm morphometry and classification of their morphological forms are discussed. For andrologists, clinical laboratory diagnostics specialists, urologists, improving their knowledge in the field of andrology, and medical university students, the atlas provides a wide range of color illustrations of the main variations of spermatozoa morphological forms.
