This edition aims to acquaint the reader with the diversity of medical images of the breast in normal and various diseases of malignant and benign nature, obtained using the main non-invasive and invasive radiological methods of investigation. The material in the book is presented on the principle of syndrome diagnostics, including clinical-radiological-sono-pathomorphological characteristics of the most common diseases, supported by vivid illustrative information, which contributes to the practical implementation of the acquired knowledge. An English-Russian glossary of the most commonly used terms is presented to facilitate communication and mutual understanding among doctors of different specialties. A bank of test modules and control tasks for checking the acquired knowledge is also provided.
The book is intended for oncologists, radiologists, general practitioners, and other specialists at all levels of medical care to the population of the Russian Federation, involved in screening within the system of oncological mammography screening, as well as for senior medical university students, postgraduate education attendees, clinical residents, and postgraduate students.
