The universal educational and methodological kit for geography for the 9th grade (author-O.V. Krylova) includes the atlas" geography of Russia. The population, economy and geographical areas", a collection of tasks for working with the atlas and contour maps with educational tasks. The kit was developed in accordance with the "Concept of the Development of Geographical Education in the Russian Federation" and aims at the formation of knowledge about the geographical, natural, cultural, ethnographic and socio -economic diversity of Russia. Numerous and diverse tasks presented in the "collection of tasks" and on contour maps contribute to the formation of the geographical culture of students, awareness of their belonging to the country and their "small" homeland. Creative and research works proposed in the teaching materials develop understanding by students of the characteristics of nature, the population and the economy of Russia.
