The author of Lieutenant General Alexander Alexandrovich Mosolov (1854-?) Served in the horse"s guard Guards, the main post of his life - the head of the office of the Ministry of the Imperial Court - took it in March 1900, since the spring of 1916 he became a messenger in Romania . From 1933 he lived in Bulgaria, where he wrote his memoirs. By no means embelling the king, noting many of his weaknesses, A.A. Moszolov remained a sincere monarchist, and not only on paper: he participated in an attempt to save the life of Nicholas and his family in 1918, was one of the organizers of the All-Russian Monarchic Congress on Bavarian resort Reichengale in May 1921, the memories of A.A. Menolov, of course, are subjective, which is inaccurate, but this is a living narration of a witness and participant in the events that the book is written.
The proposed edition reproduces the text printed by the emigrant weekly "for you" (Riga) in No. 1-5 and 7-32 for 1937, without any bill and change. For the convenience of readers, the book is equipped with a name pointer. Following the magazine publication of 1937, a separate publication was followed by a few modified title - "at the courtyard of the emperor" (Riga, B.G., ed. "Filin") We keep the magazine name of memoirs
