The procedure for assessing the environmental impact (EIA) includes: Conducting environmental research (research) and based on their scientifically substantiated forecast of the consequences of the planned activities for the environment, as well as an environmental and economic assessment of the consequences of activities for the public and the environment. Despite the reduction in the powers of state environmental impact assessment in terms of consideration of EIA materials on the planned economic activity, this procedure has been preserved in atomic energy in total. At the same time, until now, there has not been a generalizing guidelines for the conduct of EIA in nuclear energy, taking into account its specifics. The methodological manual provides recommendations for the procedure for conducting an EIA in the design of nuclear energy facilities, which are developed in accordance with international nuclear safety conventions on the basis of legislative and other regulatory acts of the Russian Federation. The publication is prepared as a guide (methodological manual) based on regulatory and technical documents of different levels. The stated EIA approaches can be used not only in nuclear power, but also in the development of project documentation of any industrial structures
