The textbook, aimed at foreign students and all those interested in issues of interpretation, considers some aspects of understanding the text as a model of reality (from the perspective of cognitive linguistics) within the framework of artistic and media discourse. It presents a range of topics dedicated to various mechanisms of decoding authorial intentions, aspects of interpretation, and text organization (from phonetic to syntactic levels) through the prism of authorial modality, which serves as the semantic center of both surface and deep structures. The textbook touches upon issues of conceptualization in the text of significant segments of reality and the authenticity of authorial modality depending on a number of factors.
