The monograph is devoted to issues of interpretation and linguistic analysis of the literary text in terms of categories of text and discourse.
It summarizes the existing scientific approaches to the development of discourse and text theory in domestic and foreign sources, the nature of the discourse and text as linguistic categories, their ratio and interaction is revealed, the principles and techniques of analyzing their structure, semantics and functions are considered, and issues are analyzed, and issues are analyzed. related to the terminological independence of the concept of discourse in modern philology. The problems of organizing the structure of the literary text and the methods of its analysis are discussed through the prism of the theory of possible worlds in fiction. Modern concepts of text spaces are analyzed in comparison of classical theories and in the aspect of their applicability to a specific text.
The book gives a special place to study the cultural and philosophical prerequisites of the theory of possible worlds in general and text worlds in particular as a derivative phenomenon, ways to express the properties of time and space in natural languages, category of time and space in the language picture of the world, as well as historical aspects development of the concepts of “time” and “space” in relation to the analysis of the literary text.
