The previously unknown artistic and journalistic work of a literary critic, philosopher and dissident L. E. Pinsky (1906-1981) and his unrelated correspondence with the film director G. M. Kozintsev (1905-1973) are published. A wide range of religious, general philosophical, aesthetic, literary and socio-political problems is considered. Particular attention is paid to the work of Rabelais, Shakespeare, Cervantes, Renaissance as a whole, comparison of the comic with tragic, concepts of personality and collegiality, the difference between Russian mentality from the Western, as well as the characteristics of the dissident movement in the USSR in the 60-70s. XX century.
The publication is intended for everyone who is interested in world literature, theater, cinema and the history of social thought in our country.
