Vladimir Weisberg (1924-1985) - an outstanding Russian artist and theorist of art - belongs to a generation, the formation of which was in the era of "thaws". In his work, he went from impressionist-color painting to light, almost monochrome paintings. Weisberg did not set himself the tasks of impressing or shocking contemporaries. His goal was to prove that the harmony of the world can be embodied in picturesque matter.
